āEnergy is contagious: either you affect people or you infect people.ā - T Harv Eker
š Reading Time: 4 minutes
1 Idea
The energy you bring to the world, is what the world will bring to you.
2 Perspectives
š§ The Hard Stuff
Introducing a little somethinā somethinā called šŖ Mirror Neurons. They allow us to imitate and empathize with the emotions and actions of others. When we observe someone experiencing an emotion, our Mirror Neurons fire, leading us to mimic and "catch" that emotion ourselves.
That means we tend to pick up on and reflect the emotional states of those we interact with, whether positive or negative, leading to a ripple effect of shared emotions within our squads. So if when youāre feeling low, try surrounding yourself with those who feel high. And when youāre feeling high, try lending a hand to those who feel low.
So this summer flex those Mirror Neurons and try spreading feels, happiness, joy, motivation and love instead of COVID (you thought I was going to talk about contagion without mentioning the C word ?!)
š¦ The Soft Stuff
Quantum physics and spiritual souls all know and agree on this one fact: šEVERYTHING IS ENERGY!
To elaborate - everything vibrates and our thoughts are cosmic waves filled with energy. The energy we emit through our emotions has the power to shape our reality and influence the world around us. When we understand that emotions are contagious, we realize that our positive vibrations and intentions can inspire and manifest similar emotions in others and the world around us. This can be a cosmic reason we have lucky streaks - good vibes, creating good vibrations, spreading good vibrations, creating more good vibes!!!
This is why so many people start the day focusing on entering a good vibes state - meditation, a happy dance, or a gratitude list - good vibrations all around (I dare you not to bip and bop with joy to this track).
3 Tools
1. Join a Community (like TRYBE) š§
Well if this isnāt one of the most buttery transitions into self-promotion I donāt know what is. But seriously, this is a game changer. We are a humanity built on the foundations of community and service, but somewhere in the last few decades weāve lost touch with this grander meaning, leaving many of us feeling alone, stuck and yearning for more. Thatās where community comes in. By joining a community that exhibits or is on the journey to exhibiting the desired behaviour and energy you want to embody, youāre accelerating your process BIG TIME and having more fun while doing it. As they say, if you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together. To find a community thatās right for you try this:
Identify your interests and passions
Search the web for a community fit for you (HiveIndex is a great tool)
Ask friends or social networks what communities they recommend
Sign up, engage and see if itās for you!
By joining a community of like-minded people, you tap into a collective force of positivity, amplifying your own positive vibes and allowing them to spread to others. Itās like RAINBOW ENERGY. No. No. Itās DOUBLE RAINBOW ENERGY.
2. Gratitude Lists š§ š¦
Keeping a gratitude journal is like an instant kick into good vibes only land. It shifts your mindset and helps you appreciate the positive aspects of life, enhancing your own well-being and making it easier to spread positivity to others. Hereās a small practice you can start today:
In the morning, write down 3 things youāre grateful for (big or small)
THATāS IT! Itās ONE step. No excuses not to try it out. If youāre feeling a bit more fancy check out the infamous 5-Minute Gratitude Journal that Iāve purchased at least 7 times (TRYBE members get a 10% discount, so check the community chat for details).
3. Acts of Kindness š¦
That feeling when the person in front of you in the Tim Hortons line pays for your order š. Who doesnāt want to feel that gooey goodness? This is the ripple effect of good vibrations in all its glory. Acts of kindness doesnāt have to be grandiose or expensive, hereās some ideas to try out this week:
Give someone a compliment
Buy a stranger a coffee
Shoot a text over to someone you appreciate
Smile at a stranger (yesā¦this counts, thatās how badly the world needs kindness right now)
Write a short, uplifting note and leave it in a public place
Open the door for someone
SO MANY MORE!
And before we sign off, ask yourself this:
What's a person, experience and element of nature that you're grateful for and why? Express it and share your appreciation.
Chat soon folks!
