(Un)fasionably Late 🕰️
From chronic lateness to chronic GREATness (Ep. 21)

THE CULPRIT…
Chronically Behind Time ⏰
Picture this: You’re THAT person. The one everyone expects to show up late - to the important meeting (whatever it’s just 5 minutes), to the gate for your flight (whatever they won’t leave without me), to the dinner party (whatever I’ll miss the apps), to your best friends wedding (whatever I’ll miss the entrance) - yikes. | ![]() Late O’clock |
The Cost of Tardiness
Being perpetually late isn’t just a logistical problem; it’s a personal brand issue (the buzz word of our generation). Each instance may seem insignificant but it slowly chips away at your reliability, integrity and trustworthiness. Generally, people forget exact memories but they always remember how you made them feel, and being a constant entity of lateness in other people’s lives is not a great feeling to leave your fellow humans with 😕

THE SHIFT…
Making Punctuality Great Again 🔥
It’s time to take control of the clock instead of letting it control you. Punctuality isn’t just a skill; it’s a courtesy that shows respect for your own time and others' - and in THIS social climate there may be nothing sexier than respect, for self and others. Value and manages their responsibilities? Sticks to their commitments? Arriving on time and composed? Green flags all around 🟢 🟢 🟢 | ![]() OnTime O’Clock |
From Late to Great
Embracing punctuality starts with understanding that time is a non-renewable resource 🤯 - read that twice. When we change our perspective on time, seeing it as something precious, our habits begin to shift. Forgoing the extra 5 min. TikTok scroll for a 5 min. jump start on your drive to that party not only reduces stress and anxiety but also is an act of self-love that SCREAMS sexy adulting - who doesn’t love the sounds of that!

THE TOOLS…
See What Sticks
1 // Time Padding
Always add a 15-minute buffer to your estimated time for tasks and transitions. This helps accommodate unexpected delays and reduces anxiety. Build in buffer times around events and appointments. If you think it takes ten minutes to get somewhere, allow fifteen. These little buffers can save you from the stress of the last-minute dash.
2 // Time Audit
Use a time tracking app for one week to really understand where your time goes. You might find that certain pre-departure habits, like scrolling through social media or last-minute chores, are eating into your punctuality. Once you identify these time sinks, you can actively work to modify or eliminate them.
3 // Try to be Early
Okay hear me out - the trick to being on time is to try to be early, and if sitting idle makes your skin crawl, luckily we have a little something called phones. You can have a plan for when you are early — like reading a book, using it for scroll time, or listening to a podcast.
